This is my offering for the New Beginnings contest.
A New Beginning is usually thought of as a birth. There are many types of births, the birth of an idea is always fun to see, so I thought I would give you my idea in the way of a necklace. The blue donut represents the sky and possibilities of new life in the stars, the Dolphin is an old being reaching for the stars and that new life. The freshwater pearls are also a new beginning in life as they start out as an irritation in an oyster and become a most beautiful and prized piece of art. The opals are raw and unpolished so their life has just begun, with the blue azurite representing the sky again. And last but not least, the Citrine stones were for a bit of fun, so you could see the yellow of the tiny moon on the blue donut. I hope you enjoy this simple bit of fun and New beginning
Now for the bones... I had seen all the beautiful artworks and was inspired to use one of my favorite donuts by adding it to this gorgeous silver Dolphin bail *the eyes are tiny pink crystals*. This was a new design for me as I have seen tons of greens and red jade used but never a cool piece of blue glass, at least not with stars and one moon on it! The rough raw Opals, blue round, but not quite perfect, azurite with vivid striations, small freshwater pearls and four rectangle/square citrines all connected with a silver toggle to make this small necklace.
